FINAL ASTRO DEGREES THEORY
I use the order of the zodiac to determine that degree is linked to that sign so these interpretations, be not surprised if you feel connected to some degrees because of theirs analogies with the zodiac sign.
0° , ALL THE SIGNS : this is where everything is rooted, created, discovered, it’s the potential of everything but also nothing, this degree predisposed a lot of famous people in history to take the spotlight for everything, goodly or badly
1/13/25°, Aries ♈️ : now we are in the impulsion of something new, something that is very clear and identifiable, an accurate thing that emerge to develop the character. This is the intro
2/14/26°, Taurus ♉️ : things are now grounded in a duality, the material and the spiritual, the occult balance btw these two planes of existence determines our system of values, self esteem, relationship to possessions
3/15/27°, Gemini ♊️ : we can learn a lot here, the balance is still reached ? Or the inquisitive curiosity leads you to understand the deepest parts of life and death ? This duality is really here for teach something philosophical, a profound insight on society can appear
4/16/28°, Cancer ♋️ : after learning a lot, obviously you start to have projects, you build your legacy step by step, you maybe want to make born and sustain your own family. The intuition is far more strong here because of the experiences of the past signs
5/17/29°, Leo ♌️ : the prime of your life can begin, the time spent working towards your goals will one day lead you to become the main character in an arc of many people's life, whether through kinship or through artistic/creative/performative/competitive endeavors
6/18°, Virgo ♍️ : after the prime came the health issues of ageing, the daily routines of a retired elder who feed the ducks at the city’s big park.. that’s a cool story of a celeb writer who, after have product some of the most important books of history, is peacefully living his end of life
7/19°, Libra ♎️ : the summit is reached socially, we can’t know more people than here because it’s the world of beauty and peace. That’s equilibrium is balanced perfectly by all what is the past and what is the future
8/20°, Scorpio ♏️ : the death is near but the rebirth also, that alchemical transmutation is a passage from vile lead to pure gold, its a rite of passage to the subtle worlds, where everything goes on forever
9/21°, Sagittarius ♐️ : the judgement of the soul coming, the fate is hell’s fire or heaven’s air, the jail or freedom, for the consequences of the good and evil. This is a lesson placement, watch out for dogmatism because symbolics are universal
10/22°, Capricorn ♑️ : the occult summit is reached, you know here all what is possible to acknowledge, all the peaks are reached and the descent is very harsh, the return to reality is also a lesson, but now it’s far more grounded in what you live
11/23°, Aquarius ♒️ : you can rebel against what holding you back or escape from it, there’s multiple solutions to avoid the fatality of existence, the conformism of the matrix, the lack of free will for facing the bad collective fate
12/24°, Pisces ♓️ : the end of the journey comes with the burden and relief of all blessings and curses you have faced, you can encounter some of the most disturbing trials but also meet the most magnificent fantaisies, things are not very clear until you step forward something new and complete the cycle

The sun's radiant vibe.
Rebirth and the declaration of Park Jimin.
Tumblr media
DPPAKCVBMMNNN HES SO PRETTY. HELP. FOCUS.
Over on Twix, a quietly renowned translator named Colin delivers his version of lyric translations for nearly all BTS songs. He just posted his translations of MUSE and boy..🫠...be sure to read them as they are well thought out and nuanced. It's just beautiful the way he seeks to find the most fitting word to convey a feeling. His translation made me realize that people been sleeping on Rebirth. Not only streaming wise, it's kinda lagging behind, but lyrics wise as well.
Tumblr media
It's been my clear favorite since I first heard it. It reminds me of church music, say I the atheist. But it's the way that choirs can move your soul with those soaring compositions and exalted professions of love for the glorious in a harmonious coming together of voices. It's just so beautiful. I can hear you screaming: THERE’S AN ACTUAL CHOIR SINGING ALONG, OH, so that might just be it, Sherlock 🧐 ok ok. Noted.
It's also that line: "With you. I will be your reason, reason." He's singing his promise, his praise.
Rebirth is Jimin laying his love at the altar, ready to be either burned or scorned or blessed. In any case, he's no longer hiding. He's professing. He's been through utter despair, and there was his love, arm outstretched. He wants to be as one.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, i think Rebirth is kind of a coda to the closing song of FACE: Letter.
If Letter is a quiet confession, whispered from one lover's lips to the other's ear, warm breath tickling his hair, then Rebirth is Brat.
Rebirth is one hell of an opening song. Bold and bravely confident, utterly romantic in the meeting your lover at dawn kinda way. But the irony lies in that it would be an amazing closing song of an album. The way the choir lingers and the music resonates long after the song has ended. The clapping! It screams, ending concert song, and the audience is absolutely weeping, hugging their seat mates, mascara running, chimmy headband drooping.
There's probably a technical explanation for why, but I'm telling you, a closing song. Because once Showtime (interlude) hits, we're in a totally new environment audibly and emotionally. Yet it had to be the intro because it's the seed that was planted in FACE.
Rebirth is this Jimin:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Both he and the object of his affection have feelings for each other." It's mutual. Equal. I am you, you are me much?!
"So that I can sing as we lock eyes." Insert TTU 'But I still want you.' gif here
Tumblr media
"...implying that the other person won't let him remain hidden."
'In my despair, you act as light. Like the sun's radiant vibe, You pass by me tenderly.'
The sun is tenderly beckoning him with its warmth, to finally step into the light. We all know who has been there for Jimin throughout 2022/2023, encouraging him both publicly with his simping and privately.
Jimin told Namjoon in MMM that JK diligently helped him, assisting him when he spent two months re-training his voice for longevity.
Tumblr media
I don't want to read more into the lines of a song that could also be totally make-believe, but it's Jimin were talking about. A man who is willing to break down himself, piece by piece, to rebuild himself back stronger, more confident, and with his eye firmly set towards the future. Do we think he wouldn't speak in these exalted terms about his good love? Have you heard Letter!?!
*DEEEP SIGH*
No wonder Jimin wants to give pay back in bedtime cuddles. 🙂‍↕️
Rebirth is so confident, and it's not only the lyrics mind you. It's also the way he sings notes we haven't heard him sing this brazenly before. I will scream into the void once he performs this live someday. CAN YOU IMAGINE?!
Stream Muse and Rebirth for Real Love.
TLDR: Jimin is GOAT, author a simp.

Note
So I just had some thoughts about the minimoni exchange that I really needed to share - their relationship is so cute. There was one thing that I'm confused about and I wanted to know if it was just me lol, and that's the narrative Jimin was telling about how Muse came about. That Pdogg asked him what his thoughts are, and Jimin said he's been feeling a lot of apathy lately (I'm paraphrasing here cause I can't remember the words!).
Then he went straight into talking about how the album is about having a crush, but he said he can't remember the last time he had a crush. And he had to have help from a younger producer to talk about what a crush was like. He didn't really go into why he wrote an album about having a crush when he said he can't remember the last time, just that he's been feeling not much excitement lately. He even explained this albums emotions as "vague." If I could go into depth about it, my interpretation (could be completely wrong) is that it's an explanation of coming to terms with his sexuality, that the expectation that he fall in love with women but no matter how many relationships with women he's had he just can't find the one. Until JK comes along....
Sorry my thoughts are all over the place 😂😂. I just wanted to know if someone also found it confusing or it's just my ADHD brain!
Hello my love! I'm probably going to use your ask to talk about Muse as a whole I think. Hope that's okay ❤️ I'll make other posts for the songs individually if I have more I want to say in depth about specific songs.... Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and theories too! I love them!
My thoughts and feelings about Muse as a whole below the photo 💜 disclaimer that these are just my thoughts and opinions. I am in no way claiming this as fact or truth and unless I'm quoting something, these are all my own words. Everyone is entitled to agree or disagree as they see fit.
This will be a longer post.... So strap in I guess!
Tumblr media
SO! To start, Pdogg shared with us that Jimins album/SMGB was in part inspired by the Beatles conceptual album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." He said, and I quote:
"It was inspired by a conceptual album like the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.' And I tried to incorporate the excitement I felt when thinking of Muse into the songs. The flow of emotions is directly reflected in the track order, so it will be more fun if you focus on that."
Intro: Rebirth and Interlude: Showtime is what gives that connection and crossover from FACE, with its sound and chorus use, into the new concept and album I believe. Which Jimin has explicitly stated that Muse is not connected with FACE really at all. But that does give its connection and crossover from those first 2 songs. So you could EASILY listen to them back to back and find it flows smoothly from one sound into another!
Tumblr media
Face is clearly about introspection, facing oneself, that vulnerability and overcoming that pain. It's about freeing yourself. Muse seems to be conceptually about finally feeling free enough to pursue that prospect of love and being open to those feelings. It was brought up by Minseong Kim, his performance director, in VMagazine that (I'm paraphrasing) they basically were focusing more on his masculine side and expressions for Who and in Muse. While in Face, Jimin showcased more of his vulnerabilities and his more feminine side and expressions. Specifically seeking out that contrast. Full interview here:
Now I don't know about you ... But it's giving gender. And I love that. It's not something new for Jimin, he leans into that contrast within himself alot. It's really giving gender fluidity. And I think that's on purpose. Jimin doesn't do things by accident. He thinks through everything and Jimin is in charge at the end for his projects. And considering how OFTEN this concept of *both*, of feminine and masculine, comes up in Jimins personal projects/stages, it's clearly something important to him that he wants to be highlighted.
Tumblr media
Jimin absolutely had full control over the stories he wanted to tell in each song, even Who, where he didn't have full writing credits. He explained the thoughts, feelings and ideas he was wanting to express. We saw him in the behind scenes of things having direct input on his songs, the MV, and creating his own choreo. The Talent 😍 we were specifically told that Jimin "directly explained to them what he wanted to convey and the direction he wanted to take for this album and each song. This allowed us to put together tracks that are more musically diverse, but still feel right for him." Quote comes from an interview article from the Clash here
Similarly shared in another article, Pdogg said "We made it with Jon Bellion in New York. I remember Jimin personally explaining to him what story he wanted to tell, and he was really embarrassed/shy. I met Jimmy Fallon by chance in the studio next door. We played the song for him for the first time after we finished working on it. In fact After finishing work on the 'FACE' album, we went straight into the production of 'MUSE' and I thought, 'He's working this hard before his military enlistment?' Thanks to Jimin's hard work, you'll be able to see his musical journey, which has grown even more." From here
Tumblr media
Okay, now that we got all those interview snippets out of the way from Jimins team.... We can get into more of Jimins words and my own thoughts/theories here too.... 😏🥰 But we like to work theories off facts, so we gotta get our base line!
youtube
Jimin finished recording his album in June of 2023.
Jimin stated in MMM that the first 5 songs in his album were basically the emotions related to having a crush and confessing your feelings. That would be:
Intro: Rebirth
Interlude: Showtime
SGMB
Slow Dance
Be Mine
And then the 6th track, Who, he takes it all back and is like no, that's not really true. Where he also lets us know that there really isn't a connection to FACE in the grand scheme of things.
Tumblr media
To start with the title too.... Who are the Muses? The Greek Goddesses of artistic inspiration. Jimin has been drawing from Greek Mythology a lot recently, with Apollo and Artemis featuring in his photofolio too. Now while the basics premise of a Muse is and can be very romantic in nature, it isn't always. Jimins album Muse is inherently full of romantic songs, but I also think it's clear from his talk on MMM that this album is not JUST about looking for your run of the mill, romantic relationship and love.... But being in search of your passion, your heart and your desires. It's the expression of yearning. Yearning for love, for life, for his music, his work, his Identity as a person and an artist, to feel excited over something and look forward to something. He specially says to RM during MMM that he isn't sure if he will ever be satisfied with himself as an artist or find a version of himself that he is fully satisfied with (I'm paraphrasing). It's the idea that this search for his Muse (that satisfaction in himself and as an artist) is ongoing and probably will FOREVER be ongoing. Hence why in the end of the Who MV, after all that back and forth with so many people.... He is still alone. That search is still happening. Hence also why this desperate search of who his heart is waiting for is at the end of the album, not opening it up. He still hasn't found her, the Muses. His satisfaction. The yearning that is driving him forward to grow and learn and adapt and dig deeper into his art, is still there.
Tumblr media
Jimin has a lot of control over his projects. His albums, songs, and performances. As he should. But it's important for everyone to remember that this album starts and finishes with JIMIN. And what he wants to say and express, this is his art, his emotions and his ideas, regardless of if he has help writing lyrics or not. To bring this back to my last paragraph above.... Passion as an artist is something plenty of people can relate to, but not everyone. Romance on the other hand is something *almost* everyone CAN relate to. And bringing those feelings of yearning and desire for passion and excitement and translating that into feelings of crushes, first love, romantic connect. Brings that full circle and is the outward Expression he chose to help represent the emotions and feelings he was trying to express through this album. I think it's also important to note that while Jimin expressed his desire for excitement and passion and how he is still looking for that.... He made sure to make it clear that he is happy and content with where he is at and who he is currently. These things can coexist!
Tumblr media
Who in general could have some takes and theories about sexuality and what not, like anon said, I've definitely seen a variety of theories out there. I do think Jimin has long since come to terms with his sexuality though, but that doesn't mean that the inspiration from that couldn't still be drawn on. I can talk about that more in a post I make specifically only for Who. Soooo many things could be said for Who! Lol and if you've read this far, look forward to my post for Who and thank you for making it through my ramblings!!

Jimin - Muse (2024)
3/5 ☆
I thought it'd get me several days to come back here with some thoughts on Muse, but it proved it's not necessary.
Who as title track makes complete sense. We're still into 90s nostalgia, but it's a recipe that works. Not just in kpop, but pop in general. Looking at the charts, it paints a pretty clear picture for the last couple of years. Add the zoomer idea of a what a Y2K aesthetic is like and we get the recipe for today's music and concept. Repeat, reuse, recycle. How fitting for postmodernism.
Tumblr media
Who is a really catchy tune, with lyrics easy to remember and sing out loud. A tad more commercial-sounding than Like Crazy, but that's Muse overall anyway. The truth is, I have the song on loop (streamers can't come for me, lol). I think Jimin's style of singing and the melody itself are a good fit. Lyric wise, it's sort of basic, but this is pop music made for mass consumption. I don't mind it. It's also radio friendly and definitely has the potential for summer hit, but I'm 99% sure it won't turn into one. BH won't move a finger to send it to radio and it's another song that will fall victim to fandom mass streaming to chart high for one week. I've seen this all before.
It's also a shame to have this released when an artist is away, without being able to properly promote it. In my non-expert opinion, it could have been released as a single a few months later after Face and scratch the rest of Muse or keep it in the drafts.
As to the other songs, perhaps Rebirth (Intro) is the only other song on the album that has something to it, it stands out a bit more and it also bridges the two albums, despite the connection being sort of flimsy.
Having Sofia Carson on Slow Dance had brought nothing to the song. It could have been a full Jimin track all the way. Her style of singing does not stand out and I find it a failed pair because there's no contrast or voices complementing each other. Jimin can sing just like her. If a collab is really wanted/needed/necessary, then I'd wish for a pairing that also makes sense vocal-wise.
Be Mine is ok, but it sounds too much like that one TXT song and I simply can't get over past it. It's afro beat and latino influence which has been all the rage in the past few years, which Hybe has been pushing a lot. It explains the song.
SGMB and Closer Than This were previously released and I'm not covering them again.
I think it's difficult for me to not make comparisons to Face, considering both albums were produced around the same period, without much time left in between them. One is simply more cohesive and has a depth that showcases a first solo attempt, while the other one is clearly going a more commercial route with less of a personal signature.
Despite Muse being promoted as another conceptual album, I find that umbrella to be a bit forced given that the theme of finding love is really a generic one. Perhaps way too generic with not much individuality. Does it show Jimin's vocal range? Yes. Does it show him trying various genres? Yes. In this case, perhaps Muse is a bit similar to Golden in some aspects, with the difference that Jimin gets producing and writing credits in 5/6 songs. So his involvement is greater, but the scope of the album is in the same category as Golden, which is another production that had this LOVE as an overarching theme. But without much more to it that would make it stand out lyrically. The focus on both is genre diversity and vocal capability.
In short: I like Who (I also like Ace of Base songs and all those silly 90s pop songs, so my music taste is most likely considered bad, but I don't care). I think Muse overall is an amalgam of whatever is trendy at the moment, without being able to truly stand out and say more about Jimin, apart from his capabilities as idol/performer. Perhaps that was the point too.
P.S. My inbox has been closed for anonymous asks since I reblogged a few days ago my post about using lyrics as clues for personal life. It seems that it invited homophobia and I won't have that here.
I'm keeping it that way for now because I'm sure my personal "review" on Muse will either be seen as an invitation for people to either bash me for not thinking it's the album of the year or to be seen as an opportunity for others to talk shit about Jimin, Who and the album overall. I found that usually there is no middle ground with kpop stans/army/Jimin stans, etc.

my thoughts on prelude to ecstasy:
the intro orchestral movement?? it felt like something out of a roman period piece. it was so perfect and just *chefs kiss* and the ending crescendo was so gorgeous
burn alive felt so dramatic like watching the lead up to a murder “let me make my grief a commodity” and “there is candle wax melting in my veins” are just such poetic lyrics. the guitar riff during the verse feels like a warning- eerie and stark. “i am not the girl i set out to be” is such a raw line it makes me feral omfg. abigail morris’ final line felt like an open wound
i’ve heard caesar on a tv screen before but in the context of the album as a whole changes it. it’s almost like a sequel of sorts, showing what she “set out to be”. musically, the contrast between the verse and chorus itches a scratch on my brain. “champion of my fate” feels so spiteful idk why
the feminine urge gives lana vibes maybe cause of the darker imagery and tone. it feels like a performer cracking their mask. “i am a dark red liver stretched out on the rocks” is sUCH A GOOD LYRIC. “to nurture to wounds my mother had” killed me my god
again i’ve heard on your side before but the album changes the feelings within it. if the feminine urge was the cracking of the mask then this song is the removal of it. it is vulnerable and raw and open about love and shame. the vocals feel like they’re pleading but already resigned- it’s heartbreaking
the flute opening for beautiful boy sounds so wistful. this so is so queer omg. “what good are red lips when faced with something dark” the lone piano chords in the chorus plus the harmonies are so ethereal they make me feel like i’m at my funeral service.
gjuha makes me feel like i’m intruding on something private, a ritual between a girl and a god. THE TRANSITION OMFG
the placement of gjuha before sinner MAKES ME FEEL THINGS OMG. like the contrast of imagery, between sin and holiness. “TURN TO THE ALTAR OF LUST” this song made me feral when i first heard it and it makes me feral now like omg. the religious imagery in this entire album is so interesting
my lady of mercy’s bass line is so groovy and perfect and amazing. and the percussive claps are so amazing. again, this so is so queer™️. the heavier sound in the chorus is so amazing and the bridge makes me feel like i’m fighting my final stand and praying to win
i love the stripped back piano of portrait of a dead girl compared with my lady of mercy. even further in the track, it remains kinda mellow and softer but no less direct. “the dignity of letting me go” when it finally gets more upbeat it the chorus it rly doesn’t disappoint. and the strings omg. also song title could be a nod to the album cover or vice versa??
the beginning of nothing matters feels like a prayer and the harp is so bloody good. “a sailor and a nightingale dancing in convertibles” the guitar riffs in the second verse are so funky i love it and the solo just makes me want to dance.
mirror feels like the end of the battle- the drums and solemn voice. it’s the end of the performance, the final death. “pretty glass and empty heart” death of the performer is the death of the album. but the final fifty seconds feels like a rebirth in a way, growth and renewal.
i don’t know if u could tell but i fricking loved this album like it’s everything i’ve ever wanted in terms of vibes and blend of dramatics and sincereness. i’m just praying that i get tickets omg

Musings on MUSE
Long post below the cut. Overall, I do like the album but this release has definitely been a journey for me, that's for sure.
Tumblr media
First, let's check in on the rest of my theories:
Open Locker Meaning: Nope, I don't think there was any meaning to this. It was fun to theorize though!
Sound Effects Interlude: Nope! I'm still kinda bummed about this. I talk more about it in the Showtime section below.
Rooms Going from Dark to Light: Yes, I still think this was intentionally done for the purpose of helping us realize that MUSE was such a departure from FACE
SGMB as an Actual Band: Yes, confirmed. I talk more about this in my Final Thoughts below.
The Emoji Poll from the Insta Chat: Honestly, I now think the company did intend each of these to reference the different songs...which is disappointing to me as a marketing tactic for the reasons I stated in the theory. Oh well.
So, some right, some wrong. It was definitely fun to participate in the theorizing this time. And as Jimin said, he wanted us to come up with all sorts of ideas for the meanings.
Ok, now let's go through some thoughts on each of the tracks:
Rebirth (Intro)
Tumblr media
I remember being actually surprised by how much I was liking Rebirth on the first listen...and then it ended. I had to remind myself that it was intro and likely would be not as complete as a full song but even now...I just really can't get over it. This would have been an absolutely lovely song if fully developed. I'm not saying the way it ends is bad, but a big problem I have with it is that it's an intro that doesn't deliver.
The next track is Showtime...an interlude. But an interlude from what? All we've had is an intro. A beautiful intro, don't get me wrong but both of these tracks are used to set up what comes next. And Rebirth just doesn't have anything next. It's just such a shame there wasn't a song in between. I've put other songs (usually Slow Dance) in between these when I listen and it absolutely makes everything better.
Interlude : Showtime
Tumblr media
The first time I heard this on the album, I had some choice words for our beloved trickster. Little did we know that we'd already heard a good chunk of this as the intro on SGMB's video (see it IS an intro...anyway, I'll stop bringing it up). Once I got over that, I still couldn't help being a little disappointed that we weren't in fact getting an Interlude like Dive on FACE. Dive was such a great storytelling point and I loved that Jimin recorded many of the sounds himself.
Initially, I didn't think I'd be listening to it much except when doing full album runthroughs but do y'all hear Jimin's absolutely lovely humming in this track?! Oh it absolutely hits my brain in just the right places. This may be one of my absolutely favorite things we got from the MUSE project...definitely top 3 at least.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band
Tumblr media
I don't have much to say that wasn't in my SGMB post. The little tidbits we've gotten of Jimin interacting with Loco were beyond adorable.
Slow Dance
Tumblr media
I am so conflicted about Slow Dance. I absolutely love the overall tone of the song, the pacing, Jimin's performance. I think it's a great song with one exception...I really don't care for the featuring artist. I don't know anything about her beyond this track but hearing her on this is easily my least favorite thing from the whole MUSE project. I knew to be wary going into it as women's voices generally don't appeal to me but I wasn't expecting to dislike it this much. It's that much worse on a song that I think would have been my favourite without her. Oh well. She's very talented, absolutely performs her parts well. It's just not to my personal taste.
The live performance video has some of the absolutely worst camera work and cuts as well. I realize they were trying to show off the skyline as the backdrop and intentionally used the band as cut points so they could edit better takes together but it just doesn't come off well. And they have such awkward chemistry live, which I fully blame on the weird obsession people seem to have with seeing members interact with women. Jimin is very specifically measuring his interactions with her to prevent as much drama as possible.
Be Mine
Tumblr media
Be Mine is actually pretty forgettable to me. It's not bad but not great. I was expecting to do another english lyric comparison post like I did for Like Crazy but I just can't yet find the motivation to. Maybe that will change in the future but for now, probably not.
Who
Tumblr media
There is so much to talk about with Who. I was originally going to make a separate post for it but I'll just include everything here:
The Song: It's a fine pop song. I do actually enjoy listening to it but that's all. There's no depth to dive deeper. Again, it's fine. I don't think pop songs are inherently less because they lack depth. This song accomplished exactly what it needed to. As far as actually listening, I do prefer it over Like Crazy but LC has other things going for it.
The Music Video: I hate it. It's so very amateur and I expect more from this production. The bad CGI. The overt vhs effect with no actual storytelling purpose. If you took all of those out, it'd be a fine performance video. But no, it's the 'official music video', they have to try to make it bigger than that...emphasis on try... Also, I adore our members but I'm so over these mumbling-lip-syncs. I don't know how else to describe it but it's just bad. If you're doing the music video 'sing along', do it right. If not, don't do it at all. This non-commitment just comes across as incomplete.
The Perfomances/Choreo: I think this choreo is absolutely perfect. It accomplishes everything this song needs. They were able to take advantage of the fact that it's not getting performed in front of an audience and the staging is so perfect for camera. The camera director of the dance practice absolutely killed it. The lighting of the Jimmy Fallon performance was stunning as well. I was reminded of how much I loved the lighting in many of the Golden performances. My favorite part of the Who choreo is the little jumping-leg-cross move.
The Remixes: I think I'm in the minority here but I hate all of them. Yes, there is a legitimate industry tactic to releasing these and I don't begrudge them for running a business but I'm so over remixes that are just a reinstrumentization of the original song. I do think these are well produced and some do highlight different aspects of the song that make for great moments...but it honestly comes across to me as not being able to make up their mind about who the target audience is. If they're looking to get rock-lovers, release an actual rock song...not a pop song that's put on a rock costume. I was hopeful for the acoustic remix at least but there is something off about it. I haven't been able to figure out what bothers me about it but it absolutely doesn't speak to the acoustic-loving part of my brain.
Closer Than This
Tumblr media
I spent a LOT of time evaluating CTT as potential context for FACE in this post but we've now learned this was written AFTER the FACE promotions so I'm very happy to see I wasn't completely off the mark with saying that it didn't fit into FACE at all.
I still absolutely love this song. Some of that may be the pure nostalgia of when it was released. It was christmas time, we'd just sent the last of the members for their military service, and this song was exactly the kind of comfort I needed at that time of the year.
Final Thoughts
Tumblr media
So, like I mentioned in my Theories and SGMB reaction posts, I do see MUSE as Jimin intentionally showing us what he's capable of. Jimin is the ultimate performer. He absolutely loves being an idol. This career allows him to dive into whatever he needs to embody the music and performance. I stand by what I said previously about MUSE being more of a work project than a personal one like FACE was. MUSE was about breadth while FACE focused on depth. Both good but different. (I have a side post I may eventually release about my thoughts on this as a music fan brought up in the west that's now enjoying kpop but that'll have to be another day).
MUSE was a lovely project and a great tool for Jimin to expand his music catalogue whilst knowing that he wouldn't be able to properly promote whatever was released during this time.
One final point: the pronoun debate is beyond asinine. If people find more meaning in certain pronouns than others, let them be. Arguing over original lyrics vs hiding behind public expectations is childish. This is music that was created with a professional purpose, not someone's diary of their deepest thoughts that we stole from a bedside table. Pronouncing the creator's intention like this reminds me of those bad english teachers that were fishing for specific answers on authorial intent and masquerading the lesson as reading comprehension. Those are a scavenger hunt with one hidden 'answer' and not real life.

I thought this might be a good idea so why not try it. So Hello! I'm a silly writer! You may call me Lion. I identify as Aromantic and my pronouns are she/her.
I really like Fantasy and often end up very Slice-of-life but most of all I like coming up with a concept and talking about it and trying to build on it! I love talking with people about their OCs or their worlds or their WIPs! So feel free to tell me about them, I'd always love love love to hear anything
Present WIPs!
I have about 4 actual ideas I want to work on and build on but I'll introduce two of my favorites for now, though the titles may change. They're all still very rough but I hope to gain the courage to talk about them and keep building them. I also don't know what to say so if curiosity strikes ask away!
Little Town of Wonders: Sage, a bit a hermit in her home, wishes on a star and suddenly finds herself with a stranger she takes into her home! Promptly named Altair or Al for short the two start getting to know the townspeople that anxious Sage has avoided so far. The two, later with Sage's Neighbor Quinn and local Baker Haden navigate people and how to be human.
Way of Beasts: Callum, a battle mage protecting the border of the kingdom got majorly injured and was retired early. Due to his tactical skill and in battle knowledge he was hired as an advisor and moved to live at the royal court. There he meets Neilan, a prodigal court mage whose performance he accidentally interrupts. As the two butt heads again and again due to mutual prejudice but keep being put together, they agree to teach each other the way of their magic and maybe fall in love through the process.
Curious about my writing?
Here's some pieces I have written! I consider them little concepts of blurbs that I wrote and posted, so they're also really really rough.
Unnamed Rebirth Enemies to Lovers Piece
The Siren's Call
To Believe
Tradition Broken

What was it that surprised you about Muse?
I thought Jimin was clearly saying Muse was about his passion for his art. I think it again had a lot to do with performing and not doing a lot of live performances and meeting Army, he more or less says this to Namjoon, and in his letter which is on display at the exhibition. I don’t think it’s as personal he says that too Joon as well. The exhibit intro also focuses on how it was about Jimin finding his artistic vision. He said to Joon that Who was a vehicle to stop and say, wait that’s not what I was feeling, but he was talking about his art. When he said about talking to his friends and they all felt similarly flat, that doesn’t mean in love necessarily, he said it was about passion or life, and as someone who has depression that happens. He also spoke about not always liking his work all of the time. That’s what the album is about to me. In my mind he started writing in 2022, he said he spoke to the members in vegas and they told him to write his feelings, that became Face. The songs he was working on with outside producers is Muse, so essentially it became a second album. All finished in June 2023. Face needed to come first and if you listen start to finish you can hear the story he is telling. As you said Letter being a hidden track is telling, that is a very personal song. Almost too personal.
Muse then starts with Rebirth which is a beautiful song, and almost a literal rebirth from Face, I’d say it’s the only autobiographical song on the album. This is why it leads. With the interlude after it, to structurally separate it from the rest. The circus theme from face continued here, he’s putting on a show, the Smereldo garden marching band , which they tell Loco is a vehicle to help people tell their hidden truths. Loco who Jimin said they picked bc he just got married so could convey the feeling needed. SGMB and the truth untold, a focus of the album, his exhibition being named the same thing. What truth is Jimin actually trying to tell us? What does he say he wants us to misunderstand? To me the only logical explanation is the opposite of what Who is about, if that’s about finding love, maybe Jimin has already found it. The billboard being probably key in this.
However to me, because Jimin said Muse isn’t personally linked, it really is just a good, fun album for Army. Face is deep and personal, Muse is light and relatable. Again in his letter Jimin says he wants to make music for Army. That’s Muse. I think face needed to happen for him, and he didn’t probably expect its success, something he also said in his letter.
Previous anon says about him being in the studio when talking with the producer but it’s not like he’s going to tell a room full of strangers about his personal life. He said it was like they read his diary but that can mean many things, including just being put on the spot having to explain something. He found a song that gave a very universal feeling, which he also says, everyone is alone..well that is a strong statement but not what he meant imo, because not everyone is physically alone, but actually as humans we are alone in the world, we live our own experience, but we seek connection with others. Love is a universal language. When the producers said Jimin couldn’t relate to the feelings of some of the songs, to me again he has no right to divulge any personal information about Jimin, especially not in his absence.
I know full well he cannot declare a love outright, if he said he knows love or has done could you imagine what would happen? but he did say rebirth is about having a crush on someone he fell in love with. This is what I mean about it being the only autobiographical song, one he knows the experience of but couldn’t openly say. One that continues the promise from Letter. The one ft a certain someone.
Oh I was simply surprised because Muse was so different from Face that it took me a bit off-guard at first lol
I agree with your train of thoughts anon. I arrived pretty much to the same conclusions.
Thanks for sharing your view 💜

Are people really out here arguing that Jimin is straight because of fucking pronouns????
WHO is a fucking awesome song, one that few singers could ever perform the way Jimin does. It's wonderfully written, and I don't think the pronouns are an indicator it was written for JK and Golden. That's an incredibly reductive take - not everything in BTS or Jikook lore is connected. The person first credited as a writer on Who on Genius is Ghstloop who worked on Like Crazy. Pdogg is also part of the SGMB. If that "theory" gets perpetuated online, and it would fit insanely well with deranged Solos, that'd just create a whole other mess.
Anyway. Now onto the whole pronouns thing itself. Firstly: ridiculous argument. Queer people have been using pronouns in songs that don't align with their sexuality for ages. First example that comes to my mind is Freddie Goddamn Mercury, and he was openly out! He still sang about and performed with women as his love interest in MVs.
Secondly: Jimin is enlisted in the fucking military right now. Do you really think THIS - a time where he can't actually speak for himself much, can't talk to the media, where only one member is "free" and BTS' position is still terrifyingly precarious (bc SK like every society is fickle af) - would be the moment he'd be coming out??
Thirdly: why is this the hill people wanna die on? Has this one song erased all the other very openly queer themes and imagery Jimin has used throughout his entire career? His photofolio? Like Crazy's MV? The whole concept of SMF2 ? Even Intro Rebirth his very much ambiguous in its wording (the JK imagery is also very much there, with the whole real love = Tokyo GCF = JK thing and the "you are my sunlight"). But from a music/selling standard, WHO is very much single material. It's catchy af, interesting musically (there is so much depth to it, especially compared to other pop songs at the moment). Why are people getting sad like it's this hymn to straight-ness?
I'm not saying Jimin isn't into women - if I was pressured to assume the sexuality of the BTS members it would be that they're all bi/pan.
And lastly: why does everything in the world have to fit into the Jikook lore? I say this as someone who - as shown above - does see that there's moments where my shipper self comes out and over-interprets stuff. Would I have been stoked by pronoun ambiguity? Yeah. Does WHO change my perception of what JM and JK - in my opinion which us just a very uneducated guess based on conjecture founded in video snippets of their lives- feel for each other? Nope. There's a mountain of things pointing towards the fact that they're very much committed to one another, the most current example being the fact that right before they started enlisting under the buddy program, they CHOSE to go traveling together instead of spending quality time with family or serious partners (not improbable for any in BTS to have despite their immense fame...meaning I won't get to date Yoongi...) or what have you. And no one say "oh it was for content". As if two members of THE BTS wouldn't be able to put their foot down and say sth about the scheduling.
Don't have anything to add, you've summed it up everything perfectly.

MUSE the concept album of LOVE
from the ‘rebirth’ new feelings of love/a crush
The ‘smeraldo garden marching band’ coming to tell the generations’ stories of love from young love to fan love
to taking the leap and asking that crush for a ‘slow dance’
to cementing the love in ‘be mine’
when that love ends and the process starts all over again ‘who’ will be the right one the forever one that the heart is searching for?
The constant love, the love that’s ‘closer than this’ BTS & ARMY.
Tumblr media
**All the written below is from Weverse Magazine Interview with producers P Dogg & GHSTLOOP**
Muse
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pdogg: Happiness ultimately starts with love, but Jimin found it tricky to figure out how to talk about love (laughs) so we started to talk about how we could approach the topic of love in a fictional context. As I mentioned before, we came up with the idea to create a fictional band similar to what they did with Sgt. Pepper’s and talk about love that way.
Pdogg: The main image we had in mind while working on the album was Olivia Hussey, the star of Romeo and Juliet. We didn’t just watch her old clips, either—we looked at what she’s doing today and said, “Please, give us inspiration!” (laughs)
GHSTLOOP: We drew a lot of inspiration from her for the lyrics for the love songs “Slow Dance” and “Be Mine” especially. We would watch her movies and ask ourselves, “What would we say if we were in that scene?” That was our approach. Now that I think about it, it was only really the songs that materialized through that process that made it onto the album.
Rebirth
Tumblr media
Pdogg: “Rebirth (Intro)” links MUSE to “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” working to show it’s a new chapter for Jimin. The lyrics build up the excitement in this bubbly way—like he’s carefully checking to see whether it’s okay to show how excited he is.
Interlude: Showtime
Tumblr media
Then “Interlude: Showtime” starts and the true concept behind the album really opens up.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band
Tumblr media
Then “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)” ushers in the album’s concept. If you see it as a song that helps tell a truth that’s otherwise untold, then it’s like it’s being addressed to someone you love, but we also wanted to imply that it’s a message to fans through lines like the one that says “June 12.”
Pdogg: That wasn’t what we really had in mind. It’s like how the Beatles had the idea of becoming the fictional Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. We were looking for a key idea and said, Oh right, smeraldos. From the fictional flower smeraldo to the fictional Smeraldo Garden Marching Band—that’s where our concept came from: a band that tells “The Truth Untold” about love, just like what the flower symbolizes. The song “Truth Untold,” the idea for which originated with LOVE YOURSELF, is a sad song, but the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band puts a happy spin on it.
Slow Dance
Tumblr media
“Slow Dance” (feat. Sofia Carson) is about how you can tell someone you’re interested in how you feel about them, which is why the title is “Slow Dance”: It’s about wanting to take your time getting to know one another.
Pdogg: Jimin’s vocals are sort of androgynous and have a fairly Western pop feel to them, so we thought it would be good if he collaborated with an artist from overseas, and A&R suggested Sofia Carson. We saw her in a movie where her character sings and I just went, “Wow!” She’s just a fabulous signer and their voices complement each other so well. Plus, she studied dance, so she’s got that in common with Jimin, making them a great match for potential performances. (laughs)
Be Mine
Tumblr media
Then it goes into “Be Mine,” which takes the concept one step further, and is about an imaginary relationship.
Who
Tumblr media
Which song gave you the most trouble, then?Pdogg: Maybe “Who”? That probably took us the longest. We tried so many different approaches before the song finally worked. We finally just decided to go to New York and work on it with Jimin there, and that’s what we did.
Our plan was to follow that song with the lead single and write it as a serenade, but Jimin was having trouble relating to it. He asked himself if he can ever really love someone, and that question led to the creation of “Who.” The album is about looking for some imaginary woman, but “Who” is about the reality of feeling lonely and melancholy, and asking yourself where the person for you is, which is why we made it the very last track.
GHSTLOOP: We sat down with Jon Bellion, who produced the song with us, and Jimin briefed us on everything. Jon had this huge whiteboard in his studio, and as Jimin explained everything to him, Jon latched onto what Jimin was saying, like, “Oh, so that’s what he’s looking for,” and wrote it all down. (laughs)
Pdogg: It was clear what Jimin wanted to do with “Who.” He was there with us the whole time, giving us his ideas all throughout. His previous album was designed to be deeply personal, but the new one is more abstract and isn’t strictly about Jimin alone. The whole thing’s also in line with what Millennials and Gen Z experience when they fall in love. The song also has English lyrics because it’s the kind of subject matter that people from all around the world can relate to, so we figured it’d make the most sense to just do it in English.
Closer Than This
Tumblr media
And when it comes to writing fan songs, Jimin often has the clearest vision for what he wants to say. He writes down all the conversations and experiences he’s had with fans like he’s writing a letter. When I asked him what it all means, he explained how it’s about something that he did with the fans before and the imagery behind it. And we use that as the groundwork for the direction we take. For “Closer Than This,” we kept talking about looking at it like a BTS concert. That’s why the lyrics “tinge purple” are in there and why they’re all about shared memories that he and ARMY have. We were picturing the day when BTS would be all together again to see ARMY in concert when we wrote the part with the children’s choir.

Jimin's second release after this first solo album FACE. Several parts of the concept reference the smeraldo flower, a fictional plant from the Bangtan Universe (BU)
Right before the announcement, a discussion channel was opened on the official BTS account on Instagram to tease it. It featured a picture of a music sheet titled "La Lettra", that ended up being "전하지 못한 진심" (the truth untold) (src #1, src #2, src #3) from the album Love Yourself 轉 Tear. As for the "You will always find the first letter" hint, it was implying to check the first letter of each circled word to get "Closer Than This", a track of the album released in December 2023. The last picture sent on the channel is of a handwritten letter (eng trans).
Tumblr media
It seems Jimin worked on MUSE and FACE at the same time since in the documentary Jimin's Production Diary that followed Jimin during FACE conception, he has the same nails as in the MUSE teaser (see this Bangtan Bomb at 0:13, cr.). In addition, there was a handwritten letter in the documentary that was titled 전하지 못한 진심(The Truth Untold) (src).
People also pointed out that in his Festa letter, released just a few days before the announcement, Jimin promised to come back with a letter, possibly hinting at the "La Lettra" music sheet (src).
On the day of the album release, the BT21 account posted a cute video of Chimmy (the character created by Jimin) with a smeraldo flower.
The album comes in two versions : BLOOMING and SERENADE. There is also an exclusive Weverse version. On the BLOOMING ver. the ME letters are bigger while on the SERENADE ver. the US letters are.

Who is the Queen of Night?
First of all we need to combine what we know about the one “Her” or “Girl” in this Universe. Except Grimes Siblings. First we have the “Little” girl who reads Yeosang’s diary in the Diary Film.+ Fever Performance’s intro.
Then we have another girl in Diary Film who is the inspiration for Seonghwa to fight his problems- responsibilities. We also meet her in Strictland, Prestige Academy while ATEEZ searches for a child.
She was the Leader of Thunders, which is also an organization like Black Pirates. but we know that she is literally her not she is the girl in another dimension like, She is the same person.
You know that they were calling someone in ALL About You like “Girl”. And this person is the “girl” who they call for help in Take Me Home, Inception, Mist and some other songs.
All Treasure Series main subject “Purple Star” is also a girl. They were meant to meet her in İllusion too. They were also saved by her in Crescent when they were stuck in illusion, she was the one who called their name and woke them. Aurora was a song just to thank her.
If it’s Full Moon dimension gates are open but if it’s crescent Ateez can communicate with Black Fedora’s and this girl in dreams.
I also think that this girl can basically be Moon or connected to Moon. So The Silver Light is also her that lead them in this album.
In addition the one girl we saw in Crazy Form’s trailer was also her.
So if you ask why we see her in many different looks, even ages, it can be explained by our friend Mito’s, rabbit on the Moon’s meaning, REbirth.
In Everything's Mv you can see a girl who has a relationship with Jongho. In Jongho’s Diary part he says that he was too young to know how to reach out to his lost friend.
So we can claim that in the end she passed away. And if you pass away in Greek Mythology you become a star like how she did in this story. A Purple Star.
If we go back to the present, ATEEZ burned the bloody moon as you can see in Immortal Song Performance. And the new album is After the RED Moon rises.
We can say that something we claim is about to change after they burn the Moon like how Halateez became Halaiza and our company.
She will have a final appearance . Because in this album’s preview you can see that:
Blind’s lyrics are about her. “Queen of Night, my eye’s star. You wake me with your gaze. Take my soul, take my heart. El amor es ciego.” which translate into “ Love is blind” It remind me the lyrics of Stay: “I can see you even if I close my eyes Just want you to stay”
One light we see in the desert is basically her.
If you know, you know the meaning of Fireworks’s meaning. In Korean twin Souls are Twin Fireworks.쌍둥이 불꽃 And maybe Song name is actually (Fire)Work????
4.In the beginning it is the place where we see the little girl read the diary in the Diary Film.
5.Empty Box’s lyrics are like: “Your memories are inside my heart like it’s a drawer. Like it’s a rainy day, it’s still there.(? not sure) Now it’s like I need to leave-send it. It is like the Take Me Home’s lyrics: “Rain in my tears, pouring in my eyes Is it something that you sent to me?”
And also Shaboom seemed to me like Take Me Home+ Maybe They are really connected. But while ending this thread I can say they finally it is her time to shine, maybe for the last.

𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊 𝖔𝖗 𝖍𝖆𝖙𝖊 我奉陪 | 𝕾𝖔𝖔𝖏𝖎𝖓
Tumblr media
With alternative as a debut album cover.
I chose BUTTERFLY - to symbolize transformation and rebirth.
To draw inspiration from traditional Korean visuals combined with some dash of modern, the outfit is a combination of new and old. Miss Sohee coat with Marchesa gown, which features wisteria detail. The Norigae, typical, traditional Korean accessory, features there colours and a butterfly design. Topped off with a regal traditional Korean hair [which I know its not but lets imagine], mixed with bleached brow look, gold tears and golden/red lip.
The text in the first photo is from "Lady in Red" by Jolin Tsai, and its the "If you hate me, I will take double the payback. If you love me, you will be doubly repaid. Love or Hate, I’m game." which also got me loosely thinking about this intro IDLE performed 9months ago

I love when they dance with girls. 🥺 There are things that only a woman can add to a performance, same goes for men.
Especially Jimin, bc he has this unique energy that captures both feminine and masculine really well, right 🥺 so delicate and sexy at the same time.
Be Mine is a queen and deserves a choreo too. 😭 Rebirth: intro really is a masterpiece and the lyrics of Who are so easy to remember, I wish the song was longer. Slow Dance is also delicious aaaaah 💖💖💖💖
I can't wait for the performance on Jimmy Fallon 💖💖💖💖🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭
yes I agree! I especially love that they keep letting themselves be pushed around by women during the choreo ahshfjjg (it’s literally a thing by now!) 😭 the dynamics are so interesting to watch and it just adds some more fun to the choreos if both men and women are included imo. and I loooove the duet part in Who so much, those dance moves are so freaking cool, the way they’re literally intertwined at some point??
how cool would it be if the special live performance at the start of August would have some dancing too? 🥺 I wonder what songs it’s gonna be for. and yes, the fallon performance is gonna be amazing I just know it, can’t wait to see the choreo on its full glory again 😍

I can’t help but point this out…what JM said about his new album ..
Video of my journey to find my girl somewhere with spectacular choreography performances and 2000s y2k mood aesthetics
'Rebirth (Intro), gives the impression of moving on to the next chapter of 'FACE' while using a chorus and orchestra to have connectivity with its predecessor, 'FACE. The next track, "Interlude: Showtime," marks the beginning of a new story and continues the journey of finding a muse until "Be Mine." The title song "Who" is a track that best shows the message of the album and the feeling of love.
Versus JK talking about “that love of my life….”
🤡🤡🤡🤡
So... I'm assuming we're leaving out the discussion of actual lyrics because both Tae and JK use "girl" in their albums (albeit in songs written by other people.)
Let's work on the basis that we're talking about how they refer to their music.
I'll always appreciate gender neutrality in discussion. Yes, I'm giving Jungkook his props for wording it this way...
"The lyrics of Seven mean you want to be with the person you love all the time."
It broadens the sentiment. It's just a small thing but it's the small things that make the difference. As ever, Stan Jungkook, that guy is the best.
However giving JK his cookies isn't to say everyone else did it wrong. It's just that JK did it particularly right. If that makes sense.
Jimin's use of the words "my girl" is, I think, just words. I think it's just a throwaway and I'd kind of hate for the same levels of scrutiny to be placed on Tae and JK over what is ultimately constructed album promotion.
Let's just see. I'm sure if it's consistent reference throughout his promotion, there might be some fallout from that but I'm not leading the charge on this one.
And bisexuality exists. 🩷💜💙
